MISSION: Riverworks Development Corporation (RDC) drives social and economic development by aligning residents and businesses with specialized resources that strengthen Harambee, Riverwest and surrounding communities.
VISION: Riverworks Development Corporation (RDC) envisions a vibrant and diverse community of residents, businesses, and stakeholders who jointly create and maintain a prosperous neighborhood and quality of life.
The Riverworks Development Corporation (RDC) is non-profit organization, funded in part through federal and private grants, donor contributions, and through social enterprises, working primarily within the Harambee and Riverwest neighborhoods. RDC has two main "arms": the Social Division and the Economic Division. Each division specializes in aligning residents and businesses to specialized resources that strengthen the community. Within each of those divisions are the organizational pillars that hold up the mission and vision.

Riverworks’ Social Enterprises are meant to be profitable using commerce as tool to maximize sustainability and impact. Revenue earned will be reinvested back into the organization to assist in carrying-out its social mission. A successful social enterprise is one that balances the tension between upholding the social mission of organization and maximizing the productivity of the business venture to ensure sustainability.
