Access financial services by requesting a session below or call (414) 882-7440
Services available in Spanish. After requesting a session you can expect to receive a call from a Financial Navigator within 48 hours.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A FINANCIAL NAVIGATION SESSION
The no-cost Financial Navigation services are delivered over the phone. Sessions last 30 to 60 minutes. Once you call or click to schedule an appointment, you will be asked to provide contact information. The Navigator will then get in touch with you.
Some of the things the Navigator can help with are:
-
Prioritizing payments for daily living expenses, like housing, food, and insurance
-
Maximizing income through accessing benefits, emergency cash assistance, and emergency loans, and considering options like unemployment or short-term disability
-
Managing debt, from credit cards to student loans to child support, and guiding negotiations with creditors
-
Avoiding predatory scams
-
Budgeting for future income disruptions
-
Accessing other social services, like food resources, vocational counseling, health and mental health resources, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance services
The Navigator and client will identify next steps during the session, and clients will receive a personalized follow up email.
Note that other government agencies, nonprofit organizations and case managers can refer clients directly to a Financial Navigator.
