Upcoming Events & Resources

See what we have in the works!

With the warm weather comes a burst of exciting activity in Milwaukee. We have a host of exciting events to share with you from a neighborhood meeting about the Beerline Trail to an annual community clean up, and much more!

Beerline Trail Development Project Neighborhood Meeting

Hosted by the Office of Milele Coggs

Alderwoman Milele Coggs will be hosting a virtual meeting on Wednesday, April 14 from 5:30 - 6:30 pm to discuss the extension of the Beerline Trail Development Project. We're inviting all Beerline Trail enthusiasts, users, stakeholders, residents and interested parties to a community meeting with Milele Coggs as we discuss the benefits and plans for establishing a linear park along the Beerline trail. Riverworks and its partners are excited to present the Lifeways Plan park design and talk about what this development will mean to both the Harambee and Riverwest communities. Residents are strongly encouraged to attend this virtual meeting. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end. Join us!

Celebrate Earth Day by Cleaning Up Our Streets!

Join us for the 4th Annual MKE Harambee Clean Up on Saturday, April 24 from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Following the clean up, MKE Black will be hosting a food truck event from 11:00 - 3:00 pm on the Beerline Trail (near the corner of Holton and Concordia). The first 50 clean up participants will get a $5 food voucher to use at any of the vendors present. To register, email harambeecleanup@westcare.com

Beerline Guiding Lens

We're branding the Beerline Trail! We're talking logo, colors, slogans, etc. The only thing missing is you! We need your thoughts, suggestions, ideas to create a brand for the Beerline that speaks to the residents of both the Harambee and Riverwest neighborhoods. We'll do this by asking a series of questions and being engaged virtually with other community members. If you'd like to put your mark on this public space then you should definitely join us on Wednesday, April 21st from 6:30 - 7:30pm. Click this link to join!

Harambee Community Association Meeting

Join us at the Harambee Community Association Meeting on Wednesday, April 28th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Hear about neighborhood projects along with a representative from the City of Milwaukee's budget office about the upcoming process for community engagement. Register in advance here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

History of the Beerline Trail with Reggie Jackson

The Beerline Trail Neighborhood Development project invites you to attend a webinar on April 27 from 11:30 - 1:00pm. Keynote speaker, Reggie Jackson, will share an in-depth history of the Beerline Trail, from an active rail line through the 1970s to a nation-leading creative placemaking project.
