Upcoming Events & Resources - October 2021

Upcoming Events & Resources

See what we have in the works!

As leaves change and we pull out our wool socks and knit sweaters, we prepare for some down time spent at home in the winter months. Not so fast! There are still some great outdoor events coming up this fall. We will be rolling out the Beerline Trail and B-Line Park logos with a community event, hosting a slew of seasonal activities for all ages at a Fall Frolic, and gathering more input from Harambee residents at a community picnic. Please come out to join us and celebrate the season!

Beerline Trail Logo Unveiling

The community has spoken and the results are in! With over 200 votes on our social media page, we have a winner for the new logo for the Beerline Trail and the B-Line Park. We will be unveiling the new logo at a community event on Saturday, October 9th from 11:00-12:30pm. We'll gather at the trail entrance near Keefe & Richards to hear a few speakers, and then we will walk that section of the trail and have a few photo opportunities along the way. There will be live music, food vendors, and some branded swag to bring home. Don't miss out!

For more information, please email the Guiding Lens community group.

Fall Frolic at the

Riverwest Market

Riverworks is excited to host our first ever Fall Frolic on Sunday, October 24th at the Riverwest Market from 10:00-12:00pm. Partnering with the Riverwest Market and the City of Milwaukee NIDC, we will be celebrating fall by offering seasonal treats, painting pumpkins, and judging a costume contest for pets and their people!

For more information, email Clarissa.

Picnic for a Plan

Calling all Harambee residents! We invite you to join us for a community meeting called "Picnic for a Plan" on Saturday, October 16th from 1:00 - 3:30pm. The meeting will be held at Riverworks Coin Laundry, located at 3334 N Holton Street. All residents who complete the neighborhood survey will receive a free hot dog lunch! Come out, get some grub, and have your voice heard!

For more information, email Sara.
