Riverworks Week 2020 Goes Virtual
Riverworks Week is a celebratory tribute to the businesses, community organizations and partners of the Riverworks BID #25: Milwaukee’s Creative District. This year we are taking it virtual. It is our commitment to ensure the health and safety of our community and because of the concerns of COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person events. However, we are viewing this "new normal" as an opportunity to reach a larger audience and to cater specific content that highlights the unique qualities within the Riverworks BID. This year we will showcase video spotlights of our creative BID Businesses and bring our entrepreneur pitch contest out to the virtual community.
The Dolphin Pool
Think Shark Tank, Only Gentler. Milwaukee's original pitch contest is back again! New, this year, our contestants will be presenting to the virtual world; with the help of our videography team, we will work with our finalists to record their pitches and then share them with our community. The Pool will showcase 6 entrepreneur finalists to pitch their start-up businesses to our panel of expert judges. Our Community Choice vote allows you, the viewer, to have a say in who wins our special prize package. We will also be collaborating with Teens Grow Greens again this year. Every year they are a show-stopper and - by taking the event virtual - the entire city can see the entrepreneurial spirit running strong in this group.

Creative District ALIVE
Riverworks: Milwaukee's Creative District is home to over 220 businesses, which employ over 2,500 people and offer a wide variety of products and services. This year, the Riverworks BID wants to create a marketing tribute to the District's amazing creators. Starting in early September, multiple videos will be launched to highlight businesses within the following categories:
- Art/Performance/Fashion - Construction & Wood Working - Food & Beverage - Makers & Manufacturing - A Grab Bag of Other Creators
