The 53212Marketplace Holiday Market is happening on Sunday, December 12th from 11:00 - 3:00pm at 3700 N Fratney Street. The event is free and open to the public. Masks are highly recommended. Coffee and bakery will be provided by Riverwest's newest coffee shop, The Daily Bird! Plus, a new brewery just opened in the West River Collective; Amorphic Beer will be open for you to take a sip!

This holiday season, shopping local is more important than ever! Flower Crowns Etcetera is a small MKE business that sells beautiful handcrafted  flower crowns, crystal crowns, crystal jewelry, knitted products for kids and adults, Christmas cookies, and more! McKenzie has a knack for all things crafts, and even takes custom orders. Check out her adorable little knit pumpkin hats for kids, or her big knit cowls for adults to stay cozy and warm this winter.


Gale's Pickles & Jams

Gale has been a staple at the Riverwest Market for several seasons. She makes homemade canned goods including a variety of pickles and flavors, pickled vegetables, relishes, jams and jellies. Crack open a jar and garnish your favorite Bloody Mary, add flavor to a sandwich, make a pickle-lovers charcuterie board, or just munch on some pickled okra for a snack!


Gilfalo Art Design

Gifalo Art Design specializes in these creatively designed, hand carved and printed linoleum block prints. Chris uses the art of reduction to create art prints, business logos, greeting cards, concert/band prints and more. These works of art are printed in a studio located in Riverwest. He loves to make people smile through art by using playful subjects and composition.

Jamaican Fair Trade

Jamaican Fair Trade was established in 2018. The purpose of Jamaican Fair Trade is to work with small Jamaican farmers to get 100% Blue Mountain Coffee to the Midwest. Blue mountain coffee is one of the world's most sought after coffees because of the mild flavor and lack of bitterness. You can buy it in whole-bean form, ground, or even in K-cups. You can also get flavored roasts like French Vanilla or Hazelnut.

Maya Ophelia’s features a continuously rotating menu based on available ingredients. They offer take-n-make vegan meals, jams, and hot sauce, and the majority of their menu items are made entirely from scratch. Although not a completely allergen free kitchen, they use best practices to maintain as safe a space as possible, and work to end the stigma of plant based diets. They're a fan favorite throughout the city.

Rooted MKE is a BIPOC-centered children's collective hub. They are currently working on getting into a brick and mortar location on West Vliet Street, which will feature a BIPOC and LGBTQ+ children's bookstore, maker space, and tutoring center. Ashley has a dream of Rooted being a child-centered business that connects families through shared experiences. Check out the books she has for the little ones in your life.

For over 10 years Seven Sisters Trading Co. has formed partnerships with Tribal artists around the world. From Afghan refugees living in Pakistan, Tibetan refugees living in Nepal, Tuareg artists from Nigeria, Massai women beaders from Kenya, woven textile artists from the Andes Mountains in Ecuador, and much more. Seven Sisters offer fair trade, handmade jewelry, clothing and home decor, at below-retail prices.

The Anderson Quilters is a mother-daughter team in Riverwest that creates beautiful quilts from fabric scraps. The quilt proceeds are then donated to Meta House & Casa Maria. They also sell specialty pillow cases, table runners, knitted hats & slippers, and handmade bags of varying styles. By purchasing one of these one-of-a-kind pieces, you also support two important community organizations.
