Business Spotlight - September 2020
Welcome to our special Dolphin Pool edition of the monthly Business Spotlight email! The Dolphin Pool is an annual event that typically takes place during Riverworks Week. It is a pitch contest (like the show Shark Tank, only gentler) where six contestants give their pitches in front of a panel of expert judges and a live audience. This year, we are doing things a little different. Due to safety concerns around COVID-19, we are taking this event virtual! The 6 finalists will have their pitches filmed by our friends at TankThink, and they will all be launched on Monday, September 21st. The judges are back, however, the community will also get a chance to choose who they think made the biggest splash; the winner will get a special prize package to help their business thrive. Then, on Friday, September 25th, we will be hosting a virtual celebration with music, a refresher of all of the pitches as well as the Teens Grow Greens youth finalists, a look back at the Dolphin Pool alumni from past years, and a peak into the judges circle as they share feedback about each of the pitches. We will announce the first, second, and third place winners, the first and second place youth winners, and the Community Choice winner during this can't-miss show! Be sure to tune in and cast your vote!

Made up of creators Dylan and Wyethe, this duo builds art to express love, compassion, whimsy, and fun. They have an eye for perfection, abstract ideas, and sustainable practices.

The Classic Shoppe is a clothing design company and retail store within the Sherman Phoenix in Milwaukee. Their designs are original and creatively showcase how culture is not a trend. The Classic Shoppe aims to increase respect and pride among the community that wears their clothing, and to share knowledge about hip hop culture.
