Books from Sue
Sue Blaustein is a Riverwest poet who has written a poetry chapbook, "The Beer Line," as well as a full-length poetry book, "In the Field - Autobiography of an Inspector." She also works collaboratively with other local artists and poets, and contributed to a Big Read Zine Project. You may have caught Sue at the Beerline Celebration Series last summer, as she often participates in community events in her neighborhood!

G21 offers contemporary designed products including framed art, pompom earrings, enamel pins, stickers and keychains.
Jamaican Fair Trade
Jamaican Fair Trade was established in 2018. The purpose of Jamaican Fair Trade is to work with small Jamaican farmers to get 100% Blue Mountain Coffee to the Midwest. Blue mountain coffee is one of the world's most sought after coffees because of the mild flavor and lack of bitterness. You can buy it in whole-bean form, ground, or even in K-cups. You can also get flavored roasts like French Vanilla or Hazelnut.

She also creates watercolor paintings and hand-painted plant pots - often with characters and creatures you may recognize from various anime shows.

Soon to be one of the newest 'brick and mortar' businesses in the neighborhood, Riverwest Grown is a garden and houseplant business that offers locally grown plants including aloe, jade, snake plants, orchids, air plants, and much more. Rooted MKE is a BIPOC-centered children's collective hub. They recently opened up their first 'brick and mortar' location on West Vliet Street, which features a BIPOC and LGBTQ+ children's bookstore, maker space, and tutoring center. Ashley has a dream of Rooted being a child-centered business that connects families through shared experiences. Check out the books she has for the little ones in your life.

rubbishREMADE is a collective of makers with an environmental approach of reusing and upcycling "rubbish" that would otherwise be discarded. Since 2021, they have crafted a variety of bags, jewelry, accessories, household items and décor. They hold workshops like how to make "plarn" (yarn made from old plastic shopping bags and other materials), and are always welcoming to adding craftspeople to the group!

Say It Louder LLC offers screen printed t-shirts, hoodies and totes, as well as jewelry and other accessories. With a wide variety of designs, some of Say It Louder LLC's inspired t-shirts include: "Juneteenth - Our Independence Day," "I Stand with BLM Movement," "One Race: Equality, Freedom, Justice," and the brand-based slogan "Say It Louder."

Soul Brew Kombucha is Milwaukee's first Black woman owned kombucha tea brewing company! They offer a wide variety of flavors including BLM (blackberry, lemon, mango), Cherry Bomb, Cranny-Apple, Fruit Punch, Ginger Mango Peach, Koffee Kombucha and Teacher's Aid. Two is for Mirth
Everything about Two is for Mirth is steeped in symbolic imagery from ancient times to today. The artist, Lane, offers products including jewelry, watercolor and acrylic paintings, and mounted weavings - all of which are influenced by a love of historical handmade practices. Lane uses techniques not common to the modern creator including copper flame-painting, 10th century Viking knit, and tapestry weaving.
Vadose Orchid
Vadose Orchid is the handmade jewelry business of recent Mount Mary graduate, Leah. Vadose Orchid offers unique upcycled jewelry made from lightweight wood, acrylic paint, newspapers and book pages. Leah's designs are often inspired by the recycled material she finds, and range from floral images to radioactive hazard signage and scrunchy pug faces to cartoon rock bands.
Xeroine Illustration
Xeroine Illustration showcases the original artwork of Milwaukee-based Xicana illustrator, Yessica, who creates intricate, unique, and empowering imagery - available in painted originals, prints, t-shirts, stickers, and totes. Her subjects often intersect nature, culture and the celestial world, and celebrate body positivity - especially for women and non-binary folx of color. Xeroine also offers homemade resin jewelry.
