WHAT WE DO? Riverworks Development Corporation provides a full range of workforce solutions, including, employment coaching, business process efficiency assessments, workforce system consulting, job search support, and more. Our employment coaching teaches residents HOW to be – and present themselves as – high quality candidates via professional resumes, master applications, cover letters, etc. We provide a paid talent development program to prepare 18-24 year old young professionals for successful, sustained employment, in addition to providing professional development for residents, employees, and business owners/management.
WHO WE SERVE? Our workforce programming is an asset for both residents and business, alike. For residents, we provide one-on-one and/or group employment coaching to be paired with the available financial coaching through the Financial Clinic and our benefits resources.  For businesses, we provide a multitude of services including job posting, organizational infrastructure consulting, recruitment support, etc.

EMployment Resources

Many businesses don't have a dedicated recruitment team or candidate pipeline generator.  Riverworks Development Corporation works with residents daily and has a pulse on the needs of potential candidates. We also have a Hot Job site with hundreds of  potential candidates for each role that is disseminated on a regular basis. 

For those business that are concentrating on the work inside the business but need to build their talent pipeline. 


Employer Resources

Job Responsibilities:

  • Removing litter from sidewalks and curbs.

  • Identifying and reporting graffiti, damage or vandalism to properties

  • Performing basic landscaping activities related to weeding, etc.

  • Participation in weekly employment, financial and benefits/income supports coaching to prepare you for obtaining full time employment upon program completion.


  • Availability to work Monday - Friday.  8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  (pending inclement weather).

  • Must be 18-24 years of age.

  • Must pass a drug test.

  • Individuals living in the 53212 zip code are encouraged to apply.  

  • Hourly Stipend: $8.50 per hour

Our entry level, basic skills talent development program provides 18-24 year old youth with a curriculum to prepare them for long-term employment.  Additionally, our NAP assists Business Improvement Districts, Neighborhood Improvement Districts, and certain neighborhood development initiatives with helping them improve the physical conditions of their target areas through litter clean-up from sidewalks and curbs, reporting vandalism and graffiti, and performing basic landscaping.

The Community Workforce Partnership (CWP) is a formal network of community based organizations that provide specialized services often needed to address barriers to employment for Milwaukee residents, including lack of transportation, childcare, education, employability skills, re-entry, and income support. Through this partnership, organizations coordinate with others to engage and support participant recruitment, screening, and employment readiness education and training activities, as well as job placement and retention services. With a shared commitment to the mission of building a diverse, qualified workforce in the Milwaukee area, members of the CWP are able to avoid duplication of services and maximize community resources to meet the full workforce readiness needs of our participants.
