SUPPORTERS

THANK YOU!

We sincerely thank everyone that has invested time and resources into our organization and programs over the years. As we move forward with our mission to promote economic prosperity, we are especially grateful to our partners who are paving the way for the next stage in RDC’s work within the community.

Our appreciation goes out to the entities listed below for supporting us in our 27th year of serving Milwaukee’s northeast side.  With your assistance, we can continue to move towards the goal of making the Riverworks area a shining example of a vibrant neighborhood in the great City of Milwaukee.

Whether large or small, all financial contributions help us to continue to be a leader in redeveloping the Riverworks neighborhoods through our Economic Development and Financial Opportunity Center programs.

Each year we assist existing businesses, encourage new businesses to relocate to our area, and provide essential coaching services to our residential community.  Without vital business, individual, foundation, and government support we would not be able to make or continue to make the significant difference that we do on Milwaukee’s northeast side.

Fund Development

Riverworks is always looking for new partners, donors, and funders that may be interested in contributing to and being a part of our organization’s mission.

Fund

Development

We do a lot of work to beautify the community which helps not only improve perceptions, but just as importantly helps build social connections between neighbors and stakeholders. Volunteers can provide a ton of value to these efforts we lead to improve our target geographies of Harambee and Riverwest.  Our projects and initiatives also provide volunteers with great opportunities to see some of the great work taking place on the ground in person. If you have interest in learning more about our community projects and volunteer opportunities to assist with them.

During tax season we operate a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to provide free tax preparation for clients we serve through our Financial Opportunity Center, and we're always looking for volunteers to help us make that program a success.  If you would like to learn about volunteer opportunities for our VITA program, contact Donna at darnellb@riverworksmke.org

Throughout the year Riverworks offers a variety of ways individuals can volunteer their time to help us advance our mission of promoting economic prosperity for residents and businesses.

2022 VITA Volunteer Spotlight

Drake.jpg

Riverworks, in partnership with The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), presents 2022 VITA Volunteer: Drake Odin.

Drake is a senior at UWM and is double majoring in Finance and Accounting. Drake has been diligent in his volunteerism with the Financial Clinic from the start and is a wonderful addition to our VITA team.

"My inspiration derives from the joy I've always had from helping others in financial matters. Having been born and raised in Milwaukee, I feel that I should contribute more to my community." - Drake
