Workforce
Development
RDC’s workforce development program is designed to move people
into jobs and forward into rewarding careers. Our workforce development program
uses a multi-tiered approached to workforce development in an effort
to ensure that Riverworks businesses and area residents are prepared
for the challenges and opportunities associated with the shortage
of skilled workers that is anticipated to occur over the next several
years.

Job Opportunities at the Brewery Project
The Brewery Project is a major redevelopment project spearheaded by Joseph Zilber to revitalize the world famous Pabst Brewery site which closed its doors in 1996. Because of the magnitude of this project, many jobs are being created, and at least 21 percent are designated for Milwaukee residents that are registered in the Residents Preference Program (RPP). This program specifies that all contracts funded by City, State, or Federal Funds must have a certain percentage of worker hours performed by unemployed residents of the Community Development Block Grant area. Milwaukee residents that are unemployed and looking for work should contact Vanessa White at 414-906-9650 for information on the registration process and eligibility requirements.
