Services

Business and Property Owner Assistance

  • Façade Grant Program – The BID will finance 40% of a project’s cost up to $3,000 for improvements made to the exterior of a building or to property. If you have questions on the type of work that is eligible for a grant, please contact Chris Grandt at 414.906.9650.
  • Fencing Improvement Project – This project is designed to provide the look of consistency and further enhance the appearance of the area. The BID paints any chain link fence in the area black to provide a more cohesive appearance.
  • Safety and Security Grant Program - The BID will cover 40% of the total cost of a project up to $1,800 for one or a combination of the following: security cameras, exterior lighting, and security assessments.

Marketing and Promotions

  • Riverviews quarterly newsletter
  • Holiday decorations and banners are hung to change the physical conditions of the area.
  • The Riverworks Center Biennial Event. Every two years this event is put on to promote the BIDs and the RDC
  • Brokers Open Event to promote the Riverworks Center for development
  • Riverworks Resource Package to promote buying local and connect businesses within the Riverworks Center

Public Safety & Appearance

  • Graffiti Removal – If you own or lease space in the Riverworks BID and you have problems with graffiti, contact Chris Grandt at 414-906-9650 or chrisg@riverworksmke.org and we will have it removed.
  • Riverworks Development Corporation’s Public Service Ambassadors street sweep and canvass the area to keep it clean and neat.
  • Riverworks Development Corporation staff works closely with the Milwaukee Police Department and Community Prosecution Unit to limit crime in the District.
